Hi Friends and Welcome! Thank you so much for taking the time to look through my site. It means so much to me to have supporters like you!

I first started Kats Wilderness in November 2020, shortly after graduating from the Animal Care program at Sheridan College. Due to the pandemic, the course was quite different than it would have been in the regular world. Never the less, the program furthered my love and interest in animals and their welfare. I have always loved animals, especially dogs, and I love caring for them in any capacity. I have also earned a Bachelor of Arts from Wilfred Laurier University, allowing me to learn about topics such as criminology, psychology, philosophy, and youth & child studies.

My family has a lhasa poo-shih tzu dog named Charlie, who may have you fooled because she is really a cat. Affection and pets are always on her terms, unless you are comfortable with her grumbles. She enjoys napping and playing exactly 2 throws of fetch. Charlie is often found patiently waiting to taste test my homemade treats or napping in her favourite spot.

I also have a rabbit, Ellie! She's a dwarf but I am not sure on her breed. She's a rescue so we are always working on our relationship and each others' boundaries. She enjoys loafing during nap time and running around her pen when it is time for dinner. Ellie is always up for head pats, fresh hay and treats.

Other activities I enjoy include baking and painting, hiking and swimming, playing with my animals or learning something new!
